The answer is very simple. It’s about the Apple Glass device. Although we still do not have official information, we feel that this is precisely about this.
Since Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has stated that Apple’s AV / VR glasses will arrive in the near future, we were hoping that Apple already started working on this project. This has been confirmed by various resources so far, but as we are getting closer to this and the beginning of the new decade, new signs appear on our path.
Apple is looking for 3D UI system engineers!
It is almost impossible to ignore the purpose of this, and the description of the job suggests that we are not wrong about it.
Here is the description of the job below:Apple’s UI systems define the look and feel of our software and products. You will have the opportunity to build software that directly influences our users and you can have direct interactions between developers and you. You will work with some of Apple’s most advanced technologies, including AR and Virtual Reality (AR) support offered in ARKit and Metal 2.
You will work closely with developers and clients to define and create a basis for new ways of communication and interaction.
All you need is to be a graduate, engineer, master or Doctor of Science in the field of information technology or you have sufficient work experience in that field. It will not hurt even if you are a professional when it comes to Swift, Xcode, Objective-C, C / C ++, or if you are good at knowing the UI framework such as Qt, CoreAnimation, WPF, UIKit, React- and AppKit. If you meet these requirements, the Technology Development Group (TDG) will welcome you to the team.
And what does that really mean? We don’t know. It’s hard to think of developing an Apple Glass device. Although we can say that something is going on according to the objective facts we have. It remains mystery to us until 2020 until official news comes up.
Have to wait till then.
