Every day we learn something new, especially when it comes to computers. Apple MacOS is full of little known but very useful options. We’ll show you how to copy text on Mac by using the Drag & Drop option.

Even those who are not in daily contact with these computers may not know what the Command button is doing. However, only a small percentage of users know that it is not necessary to press this key if you want to copy the text.

In macOS, High Sierra users have the ability to copy the text by dragging it out and then letting it go. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Highlight the text you want to copy.
  • Press on it and hold the Trackpad pressed.
  • Drag those texts to the desired destination with the second finger.

With this command you can replace the shortcuts CMD + C and CMD + V. Another interesting thing is that this mechanism works in Safari, and if the text you tagged drags onto the desktop, it will automatically open in a new document.
