If pristine beaches, turquoise waters and electric sunsets is what paradise is made up of then I can truly say I have experienced it all. My trip to Seychelles was nothing short of a dream. This place has 115 small islands and is still just a tiny dot on the globe but when I arrived at this beautiful destination it felt like a giant blue dream and I never wanted to wake up.

Incase you’re wondering what made me fall in love with Seychelles, it was the amazing resort I stayed in, Six Senses Zil Pasyon. This 5 star property acted as a catalyst for me to fall in love with this island. Imagine being surrounded by white sand beaches, beautiful pathways, swaying palm trees, turquoise waters and waking up to the sound of the birds chirping, magical isn’t it? This eco-conscious getaway is located on a private island called Félicité, the fifth largest island in Seychelles.

Here’s a little more detail about this property.

Room

Room: Panorama Pool Villa

My room was the epitome of space, nature and luxury, all in one. The minute you enter the panorama villa you will be greeted with a breathtaking view of the Indian ocean. The room was spacious with low-set slanting layouts, Balau wood decking and selectively chosen swanky interiors. Decorated in hues of turquoise and wooden elements the bedroom was extremely cozy and so romantic. The private sundeck and the stunning infinity pool was a treat for the eyes. The bathroom was all sorts of goal with a swing inside.

Dining:
Food is one of the biggest reasons for me to love a place and the restaurants at Six Senses were just incredible. Breakfast was something I would always look forward to. From poached eggs to avocado toasts and fresh fruits to a wide selections of cheeses there was literally everything. For lunch we used to mainly binge on Vietnamese rice paper rolls or fresh salads. For dinner, we used to relax at the Ocean Grill, a seaside restaurant which was heaven for pescatarians like me. Imagine indulging in freshly caught seafood under the stars with the sound of the lashing waves.

Snorkling

Activities:
The best thing about this island? You can never get bored! They have an array of activities to offer all the residents of the Félicité. From snorkeling in the pristine blue waters and swimming in their infinity pool to hiking up the hill for sunset spotting and hopping the island around, I did it all. You can unwind by trying some water activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, hiring a yacht and going on a fishing trip, snorkeling, diving and much more. The resort also offers a scenic helicopter tour and if time eprmits you must visit the world famous Six Senses Spa.

Best time to visit:
They say the best time to visit the island are the months of April, May, October and November, as it’s the transition time between the winds. I visited Six Senses in May and the weather was just perfect, not too hot with little passing showers.

How to reach the island of Félicité:

If you are flying from Dubai, you have to take a flight to Mahé which is the largest island of Seychelles. After which you will have to take a 20 min domestic flight to Praslin. At Praslin, the Six Senses representative will escort you to to the ferry terminal where you can take a private speed boat to Félicité which takes about 20 mins.

Getting back to reality was so difficult after the taste of luxury at the Six Senses Zil Pasyon. I have travelled to 30 countries so far, but never experienced something so luxurious and dreamy ever.
