20 year old iMac was a real pioneer!

iMac

The first iMac was launched in 1998 and was the first model of Apple’s all-in-one computer. The iMac’s average user came closer to the IT world, and all its access cables were removed from the computer and was far ahead of time when it comes to placing a new direction on the market.

Can you remember the time of Windows 98 and dial-up Internet? The first iMac was launched in that period. In 1998, Steve Jobs introduced the iMac to Flint Center. Jobs returned to the company a year earlier and his first step was to abolish the entire offer of the device. The new direction took the history and a Newton device that was revolutionary, but for which there was no demand in the market.

Cleaning was overdue because Apple had so many computers in its assortment that even employees could not distinguish them. The Performa series intended for personal use was also withdrawn from the sale. Jony Ive was the team manager created by iMac G3.

The first iMac was a revolutionary device because it replaced all old standards (ADB, SCSI, GeoPort) with USB. Floppy drive was launched, which was a very brave move in 1998. The floppy drive is replaced with a CD-ROM. Then every development began with design, and the designers themselves became the new “rock star” of the company because they determined everything that had to do with the devices. The iMac G3 was initially available in 5 different colors, and its plastic case was very transparent.

This is no surprise because the main task of the design team was to create a computer for personal use and for all categories of users. Given that the interaction was the main purpose, they decided to have a rounded body on which the back was added a great lunch. Compared to other computers from that period, the iMac had a futuristic design.

Soon it turned out to be impractical, so the product was withdrawn from the sale. The range was later expanded to 13 colors. The G4 was launched four years later. On it the biggest change was sustained by a lunch which was supposed to adjust the position of the monitor. It was also available in white.

White pens for Zebra have also been designed, which was not the favorite supplier until the launch was a huge success. Insisting on a flawless design was continued with iPod and iMac, which was introduced in 2005. Computers have become thinner and thinner over the years, and the size of the monitor has been growing.

The first iMac computers with 5K monitors were introduced in 2013, and two years later came the new Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard that remained the same today. The choice of Mac computers has changed greatly over the years. From Apple’s professional software offerings, Logic Pro and Final Cut are still available and represent unique industry standards.
